Metizport signs a brand new CS team with freshly crowned world champions at the forefront; now they aim to put wind in the sails of the Metizport ship.
It's an exciting time for Metizport. The club, which has already made a significant mark in various e-sports contexts, is now strengthening its grip on Counter-Strike by introducing a new team. Many had already heard the rumors, but now it's official: Metizport is launching a new CS team to compete on both the Swedish and international stages. This demonstrates the club's seriousness and our growth ambitions within e-sports.
Metizport already has teams with high sporting ambitions within the biggest game titles. The club has teams in Valorant, a national commitment in CS known as "Metizport X", two SSBU players, and three content creators. With the addition of the new Swedish team, we have three freshly crowned world champions in Jackinho, adamb & abdi, two seasoned veterans who have competed internationally for many years in RuStY and hns, and one of the most sought-after talents Sweden has to offer in nilo! Young Stars:
Linus "nilo" Berman and Adam "adamb" Ångström are young talents born in 2005. Adam won the IESF tournament in Romania and joined the NiP academy project in 2022. His twin brother "susp" plays for 00Nation. Linus, known from Dreamhack Open in 2020, was signed by NiP in 2021.
Veteran Players:
Jack "Jackinho" Ström Mattsson has been playing since 2017, known for his time with Fnatic and as captain for the Swedish national team. Hannes "hns" Johansson and Alfred "RuStY" Karlsson have extensive experience in the tier2 scene. Hannes was part of Lyngby Vikings, while Alfred has a long history with many clubs like Red Reserve and Godsent.
Head Coach:
Ahmed "abdi" Abdi will be the team's head coach. He previously worked for NiP and had offers from several top clubs. Abdi's decision to join Metizport showcases his belief in the team's potential. Abdi is also currently the national team manager for Sweden.

Ahmed Abdi Abdi, formerly known from the Swedish powerhouse Ninjas in Pyjamas, becomes the head coach for the team. He already has experience with some of the players and he is looking forward to this new challenge.

The team will participate in tournaments such as CCT North Europe Series #8, Svenska Cupen 2023, and Eliteserien in Sweden. We look forward to an exciting autumn and wish the team good luck.
The team will be in action already next Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. against the academy team of the Finnish powerhouse, ENCE. This is the opening match in Group D of the CCT North Play-ins where the players debut in the Metizport jersey. Also in the group are the German team Sprout and Exzentriq Utd.
